Strengthening and deepening the partnership between Nigeria and Germany.

As part of the visit by the Federal Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, accompanied by a high-ranking German business delegation, to Nigeria; Delegation of German Industry and Commerce (AHK Nigeria), Nigerian-German Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection (BMWK) , hosted a distinguished business conference in Lagos on 30th October 2023.

In attendance was the HE Executive Governor of Lagos State, BabaJide Sanwo-Olu , represented by HE, Deputy Governor of Lagos state, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Deputy Minister, Stephen Wenzel, members of the Lagos State Executive Council, Leaders of Industry and Entrepreneurs.

In his welcome address, President of the Nigerian German Chamber of Commerce , Mr. Igbuan Okaisabor emphasized that “Nigerian-German partnership has grown stronger over the years, creating a multitude of opportunities for businesses in both countries. Nigeria is Germany’s second-largest trading partner in sub-Saharan Africa, while Germany has the largest economy in Europe”.
