On behalf of the board and management of the NGCC. I am pleased to announce the appointment of Igbuan Okaisabor as the new President. This appointment came into effect at the 146th board meeting held on 18th February 2021 where he took over from Onyeche Tifase the immediate past President.
Igbuan is a professional engineer and entrepreneur. He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Construction Kaiser Limited (CKL), a leading indigenous construction company in Nigeria. He is currently a member of the Leadership Council, Initiative for Global Development (IGD), a US-based NGO that drives poverty reduction by catalyzing business growth and investment in the developing world. Former Secretaries of State Madeleine K. Albright and General Colin L. Powell are founding co-chairs of IGD’s Leadership Council. In 2017, he was selected to serve as a member of the Governing Council Committee on the Lagos State Employability Support Project (LSETF). Also, in 2020, Igbuan was appointed to the Governing Council of the Federation of Construction Industry (FOCI) .
Igbuan is passionate about Nigeria and promotes a shared-value strategy where businesses seek economic success while creating social impact. He will in no doubt bring his tremendous business networks, knowledge, vast experience as well as administrative and entrepreneurial competencies to the NGCC. l am excited by this development which will accelerate the pace of reforms in line with our mission to foster Trade and Commerce between Nigeria and Germany through effective stakeholder engagement and economic cooperation.
